I have never owned a disposable car, and I have owned some fancy cars. But the bottom line is that they are tools of my work, accessories to what I have to get done every day. I own, drive, love a Suburban. It has 247,000+ miles on it now, and I just replaced the windshield. It looks great, drives great, a total comfort vehicle, that is a total workhorse. I will drive it until it stops in it's tracks too. My husband drives a GMC 3/4 ton pickup, also a total workhorse. He will drive it until it stops too. We also have a little F100 Ford pickup, a 1982 model that I am unwilling to give up because I love the body style. We have done all the mechanical work, and it just needs a fresh coat of paint to be good as new. I will drive it forever as well. We love American. Always did, always will. I agree with you. The "big three" should have taken you to Washington last summer...you could have driven them in one of your very dependable American trucks and charmed the southern senators with all you true life experience.
